SubZero was invited by BattleBots to fight at a private event held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco May, 9th 2007 for the Sun/JavaOne Conference. Other entertainment included Grant Imuhara from MythBusters with a baseball demo, Grinder Girl shooting sparks in the BattleBox, and Mini Kiss rocking the classics.
The featured mural was hand painted on canvas hanging from the back of 2 sets of bleachers about 60 feet long and taken in 3 separate photos stitched back together.
SubZero driven by Logan Davis was the first BattleBot to “Outta” robots for the win with the middleweight SubZero at this event. SubZero beat Mosquito, Slasher and Icewave that evening. The last fight that night of 5 fights was against Icewave where SubZero promptly “Outted” him for the final win of the event to a screaming crowd.
